Collection: Ceramic Pot Candles

Each pot is hand-cast in the studio in Val Gardena — poured, dried, sanded, and sealed before any wax goes in. Nobody else in the region makes them this way. It starts as liquid ceramic slip, poured into a mold and left to dry for a minimum of 48 hours. Then it's sanded by hand to a smooth, refined finish, sometimes painted, and finally sealed with a heat-resistant sealant — the step that turns a porous, raw material into something that can safely hold hot wax and an open flame for years. Only once that's done do we preheat the vessel, set the lead-free cotton wick, and pour the scented wax.

Ceramic Pot Candles are the signature product of Dolomites Glow — the piece that first set us apart from every other candle maker in South Tyrol. Each one is scented with 100% natural fragrance oil in Floral, Vanilla, Citrus, or Freesia & Pear, poured over premium wax and finished with dried botanicals where the scent calls for it. No two pots are perfectly identical; small variations in the hand-sanded surface and the occasional air bubble are part of what makes each one genuinely one-off rather than mass-produced.

What makes these different: this is the only hand-cast ceramic candle made this way in the Dolomites. Most candle makers buy their vessels wholesale. We cast ours, start to finish, in the same Val Gardena studio where the wax is poured — which means the pot is never an afterthought to the candle. It's the other way around: the candle is built to live inside a piece of ceramic worth keeping. When the last of the wax burns down, the vessel doesn't go in the bin. Clean it out and it becomes a small planter for a succulent, a catch-all for rings and coins by the door, or a little pot for dried alpine flowers — a second life that outlasts the first.

Choosing between scents comes down to the room and the moment: Floral and Freesia & Pear suit a bedroom or a gift for someone who likes things soft and airy; Vanilla warms up a living room on a cold evening; Citrus wakes up a kitchen or a desk. All four scents use the same lead-free cotton wick and natural, vegan, cruelty-free formulation — only the fragrance oil changes.

What is the ceramic pot made from, and is it waterproof?

Each pot is cast from liquid ceramic slip, dried for at least 48 hours, hand-sanded, and finished with a heat-resistant sealant. That sealing step is essential — it's what makes the porous ceramic safe to hold hot wax and a lit flame without absorbing either.

Which scents are available in the Ceramic Pot Candles?

All four of our natural fragrance oils: Floral, Vanilla, Citrus, and Freesia & Pear. Each uses the same lead-free cotton wick and the same premium wax base — only the scent changes.

Can I reuse the pot once the candle is finished?

Yes, and we'd encourage it. Once the wax is gone, clean out the vessel and it works beautifully as a small planter, a trinket dish, or a little vessel for dried botanicals — exactly the kind of second life a hand-cast piece deserves.

Will every pot look exactly the same?

No, and that's intentional. Because each one is cast, dried, and sanded by hand, small variations in surface and the occasional air bubble occur — a natural result of the handmade process, not a flaw.

Note: Wax is off-white only. Slight variations and minor air bubbles may occur due to the handmade process. All measurements are approximate.
