This collection is the quiet half of what we do. Every ceramic pot and tray starts the same way as our Ceramic Pot Candles, but it stops there — no wax, no wick, no scent. What's left is the vessel on its own: a small bowl for rings and keys by the door, a tray for a ring light candle you already own, a pot that holds nothing but looks like it belongs on a windowsill in South Tyrol, catching the last of the light off the peaks. Some people buy them to pair with a scented candle from another part of the shop. Others buy them because the shape and the finish are enough on their own.
What makes these different is the same thing that makes our Ceramic Pot Candles different: nobody else in the region hand-casts ceramics this way. Each piece begins as liquid slip poured into a mold in the studio, then rests for a minimum of 48 hours before it's touched again. After that it's sanded by hand to a smooth, refined finish and sealed — a necessary step, since raw ceramic is porous and needs protecting even without wax inside. The result is a small, deliberate object rather than something stamped out by the hundred. Because the casting is done one mold at a time, no two trays or pots are ever perfectly identical — a faint variation in curve or surface that we consider a feature of handmade work, not a flaw in it.
These pieces are unscented by design — there's no fragrance oil involved, so they suit anyone who loves the aesthetic of hand-cast ceramic but doesn't want or need a scented candle at all. They work equally well as a standalone piece of home décor, a catch-all tray, or a quiet gift for someone who already has enough candles. Rooted in the stone, light, and texture of the Dolomites, each one carries a little of the alpine landscape into the room it ends up in.

Are these pieces scented?
No. Ceramic Pots & Trays are unscented, standalone ceramic pieces — there's no wax or fragrance oil involved. If you'd like a scented version, our Ceramic Pot Candles use the same hand-cast process with wax and fragrance added.
What are they made from?
Each one is cast from liquid ceramic slip in our studio in Val Gardena, dried for a minimum of 48 hours, sanded by hand, and sealed. They're entirely handmade — no two pieces are exactly alike.
Can I use these for candles or other things at home?
Yes. Many customers use them as rings-and-keys trays, small planters, or decorative catch-alls, and some pair them with a tealight or a candle of their own. The sealant makes them resistant to everyday handling, though they aren't designed to hold wax directly the way our Ceramic Pot Candles are.
Do you ship these outside South Tyrol?
Yes, every piece is packaged with care for shipping. Because each one is hand-cast and sanded individually, slight variations in shape, texture, or finish are part of the handmade process rather than a defect.
