The Tofane peaks overlook Cortina from the north, snow-heavy in winter, the cold sharpening both the air and the light. This Christmas candle is hand-cast in the form of a face, with pine cones set into the wax in the Val Gardena studio. The pine cones are a detail from up here: dry, resinous, the scent of a walk through a December forest. Light it on a winter evening. It earns its place.
