Ondina comes from the Latin unda — wave — and is used in Ladin mythology for the water spirits of the alpine lakes. These two shell-shaped ceramic vessels bring something of that world into a room: a clam and a conch, both hand-cast in the Val Gardena studio, shaped to sit flat and hold the wax within the shell form. Place them as a pair or separately across a bathroom shelf. After the wax burns down, both shapes hold trinkets, loose change, or a bar of soap without complaint.
